PHECC Adds New Bedford HA to Its Hall of Energy Stars

The Public Housing Environmental and Conservation Clearinghouse (PHECC) has added the New Bedford Housing Authority to its hall of Energy Stars and Green Giants. Last year New Bedford began what it describes as the largest energy performance upgrade in its seventy-five (75) year history.

As a result of the upgrades made so far, New Bedford’s public housing developments have decreased their electricity consumption by nearly 10% and their gas consumption by nearly 11%, saving the agency almost $882,000.
